Child Development & Trauma

Description

This one day course will raise practitioners awareness of child development and trauma and consider the impact on children and young people and how you can support their wellbeing.

Learning Outcomes

During the course, you will:

  • Explore the factors which pose a risk to healthy child development
  • Explore the use of the metaphors when working with families to encourage healthy development of children 
  • Understand how to develop ways in which to use these within your work with families and other professionals

Who Should Attend

This course should be undertaken by staff working with children, young people and families and/or where awareness of Child Development and Trauma would be beneficial to their roles.

Course Length

This is a full day face to face session.
