Programme Details, Aims and Objectives:
The course takes a blended learning approach. You must first complete the Managing Recruitment and selection modules on COAST. These two modules are interactive, e-learning modules which cover:
- The recruitment and selection process in South Ayrshire Council
- Selection Methods
- Using competencies in the recruitment and selection
- Writing competency based questions
- Structuring interviews
- Giving candidates feedback
- The impact of legislation on recruitment and selection
Aimed at: People responsible for carrying out recruitment and selection.
On completing this course you will be able to:
- Consider the appropriateness of a range of section methods
- Use a competency based approach to recruitment and selection
- Recruit an select candidates in compliance with relevant legislation
- Conduct competency based interviews and provide candidate feedback
