Course Detail:

The Operational and Strategic Financial Management module will help you to:

• Understand how Council funding is structured and how it is spent
• Familiarise yourself with the Council's Financial Regulations and appreciate their significance in promoting robust financial control
• Differentiate between the roles of budget management (budget holders) and budget monitoring (corporate accounting)
• Familiarise yourself with the Council's Financial Strategy and Medium Term Financial Plan and understand the role of budget holders in supporting them.
   

Course Duration: 60-90 minutes
