Carers

SA Celebrates Carers (400 × 400px)

Are you a Carer?

  • Do you provide care or support for someone who needs your help to manage daily life?

  • Do you regularly collect and/or administer medication?

  • Do you help someone with washing and dressing?

  • Do you do shopping, cooking or cleaning for someone who can't do it for themselves?

  • Do you provide emotional support to someone?

No matter your age, you might be a Carer if you support a friend, family member or neighbour who is ill, disabled, elderly, has trouble communicating, mental health issues, neurodivergent, or has issues with drugs or alcohol.

Many people do not recognise themselves as Carers and miss out on valuable support available to them.

The Health and Social Care Partnership and the Carers Gateway South Ayrshire offer a wide range of support, including emotional support, short breaks and general advice.
