Training - How to Book

Important Information

Registration for Developmental and Public Protection training will close 7 days prior to the event. If you wish to request a place after 7 days, please contact PracticeDevelopmentTeam@south-ayrshire.gov.uk

Registration for Mandatory training will close 2 days prior to the event. If you wish to request a place after 2 days, please contact PracticeDevelopmentTeam@south-ayrshire.gov.uk

Health and Social Care Staff

South Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership employees should use the following link to apply for a place on training events: learnPro Council - Book on Event (learnprouk.com).

Your application status is pending until your manager approves your place through LearnPro (COAST). Once your manager approves the training request, you will receive a confirmation email that your place on the training event is approved.

A confirmation email from the Practice Development Team will be sent out 2 weeks prior to your training event, this will include a Microsoft Teams link for online sessions.

A number of Public Protection Training courses are available on a Pan-Ayrshire basis, these are:

• The Role of the Second Person in Adult Support and Protection (ASP)
• Crossing the Acts
• Council Officer Refresher
• Adult Support and Protection for Managers

To book a place on an Adult Support and Protection (ASP) training course that is being delivered on a Pan-Ayrshire basis, to book any of these courses please visit your local training booking system.

Voluntary Sector

To request a place on Public Protection training, please contact enquiries@vasa.scot
VASA coordinates all bookings from registered voluntary organisations. The Public Protection training calendar offers 5 spaces for the voluntary sector on the courses below, please see the course descriptor to ensure the course is suitable for your role.

Following your training event request, an email confirmation will be sent from PracticeDevelopmentTeam@south-ayrshire.gov.uk to approve your place. If we cannot confirm your place, you'll receive a notification of being added to the course waiting list or offered an alternative training date.

Cancellation Policy

If you can no longer attend training, please cancel your attendance on LearnPro (COAST) and inform PracticeDevelopmentTeam@south-ayrshire.gov.uk within 48 hours.

Failure to attend, or late cancellation may result in your service being charged.

We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise that could prevent attendance, however, we kindly ask you to notify us.
