About the course
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a tool where participants learn important principles about personality differences at work. MBTI identifies different personality types based on preferences, providing a framework to explain how you see and interact with the world and those around you.
MBTI explores four personality type opposites:
- Extraversion / Introversion (what energises us)
- Sensing / Intuition (the information we prefer to use)
- Thinking / Feeling (the process we use to make decisions)
- Judging / Perceiving (how we deal with the world around us)
Leadership MBTI
Before participating in the Understanding Your Leadership Style Using MBTI training session, participants must complete the MBTI Global Step 1 online learning through MBTI's Elevate platform. This is an essential step which will give you all the necessary background information of the MBTI tool and allow you to determine your own Best-fit type based on the personality preferences above, which you will further explore in the training session with OD. The online learning should be completed in one sitting and will take no longer than one hour.
Please note: there is a cost involved with completing the online learning - £58.50 per person which is recharged to the relevant service.
Once the above is complete, you will take part in the workshop hosted by OD - there is no cost attached to this element. In the workshop you will explore your personality preferences further, helping you to utilise your personality types and preferences in order to enhance and develop your leadership abilities. The workshop will explore your strengths and vulnerabilities as a leader, providing you with areas of development that you can apply practically with your teams in the workplace.
