South Lodge is a 39-bed care home, offering care to adults over the age of 65.

The home offers a mix of activities, day trips, and evening entertainment for residents who want to join in. The home also includes Racecourse Road Intermediate Care Unit, which is in the process of being developed into a reablement/intermediate care centre.

Racecourse Road Intermediate Care Unit

The Racecourse Road Intermediate Care Unit is set within South Lodge Residential Unit; however, this is a separate unit. This unit supports the safe discharge of adults and older people from hospital to a homely environment. 

This 10-bed unit provides support to help you achieve your personal outcomes to ensure you can return home in a timely manner, with stays lasting no longer than 6 weeks.

Visitors will be welcome and encouraged to help support you during your stay and where appropriate family and carers will be involved in your care.
