Strategic Plan 2021-31

Our Integration Joint Board Strategic Plan 2021-31 is a ten-year vision for integrated health and social care services which sets out our objectives and how we will use our resources to integrate services in pursuit of national and local outcomes. In 2025 the Integration Joint Board approved a refreshed Strategic Plan in line with our statutory duty to review the plan every three years. This ensures our plan is up to date and reflects the current landscape of health and social care in South Ayrshire.

We remain committed to our overarching vision of 'Empowering our communities to Start Well, Live Well and Age Well.'

We also have a sustained commitment to our 'South Ayrshire's Wellbeing Pledge' reflecting the notion of two parties (public services and the community) contributing to a common goal. The Pledge builds on the amazing resilience, spirit and mutual support our communities displayed throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. This approach was endorsed by our Community Planning Partnership in March 2024.

As part of the launch of the Strategic Plan in 2021 a South Ayrshire Partnership Agreement was signed by Tim Eltringham, Director of Health and Social Care and Marie Oliver, Chief Executive Officer for VASA. This agreement was a commitment from the Health and Social Care Partnership to work collaboratively with Third Sector Partners in order to achieve the Objectives of this Strategic Plan.
