Adult Initial Response Team

Our Initial Response Social Work Teams are the first point of contact for adults who are new to social work or no longer getting long-term support. They check all referrals, do an initial assessment, and offer advice, information, and guidance. They can also point people to community services or give short-term help.

If needed, they may refer someone for formal care or pass them on to local Practice Teams for ongoing support. Their main role is to make sure people get the right help quickly and are connected to the right level of care as early as possible.
