Childhood Immunisations
Babies and children aged 0-6 years will be appointed by our Child Health Department for their first appointment at 8 weeks of age.
An appointment letter will be sent out to parents/carers, asking them to attend their GP practice with their child. They will be given a date and time to attend. The letter will also provide a telephone number for parents/cares to contact if they need to rearrange their child's appointment.
If the child does not attend an appointment, the Child Health Department and the Health Visitor will be notified and the parent/carer will be sent another appointment, to ensure that all children are vaccinated.
