What is Telehealth?

Telehealth can be described as the use of technology to provide healthcare in the patient's own home or, more generally, away from a healthcare setting.

NHS Ayrshire and Arran TEC Team has been providing Remote Health Monitoring telehealth services for many years. Technology is changing all of the time, the Team keep up to date with the new technologies being invented that make communication easy and simple.

Patients are enrolled on Remote Health Monitoring services by their healthcare professional, usually their GP or Nurse, who can then review patient's symptoms and readings on a web-based portal, and can contact the patient if there is any cause for concern.
