Course Description
This course will support practitioners in their understanding of Child Sexual Exploitation in the context of contextual safeguarding.
Practitioners will explore key themes of vulnerability factors, risk indicators, perpetrator tactics and the impact of technology.
This course will examine key legislative developments and the impact on practice, and support practitioners to safeguard children and young people who may be at risk sexual exploitation.
Learning Outcomes
Understand the key terminology and definitions in relation to child sexual exploitation (CSE)
Recognise the key vulnerability factors, risk indicators and the tactics that perpetrators use in relation to CSE
Develop strategies to increase confidence in direct work with children and young people
Recognise the importance of information sharing and multi-agency partnership when responding to children and young people
