Sensory Loss Awareness Training Workshop
Description
The course aims to provide information about the different types of sensory loss and the impact this has on people living with a sensory impairment and includes practical sessions to enhance your learning.
There is an expectation that staff would have completed the basic Sensory Loss Awareness. Training available on COAST prior to attending this full day course.
Learning Outcomes
You will learn about:
- Different types of sensory loss and the impact this has on people living with sensory impairment
- The services provided by the Sensory Team and the support and equipment which can be provided via a sensory assessment
Who Should Attend
This is aimed at staff who come in to contact with, and /or provide support to people with vision loss and/or hearing loss.
Course Length
This is a full day face to face session delivered by the Sensory Loss Team.
