Course Description
Working with Neglect is a full day course aimed at staff working with children and young people in Health, Education and Social Work. This training event explores the most up to date theory and practice in Working with Neglect and the impact on children from pre birth to adolescence. This course aligns with the National Guidance for Child Protection in Scotland and gives practitioners the opportunity to explore learning from Learning Reviews (formerly Significant Case Reviews) and apply this to practice examples.

- Describe what we mean by the term "Neglect" and how this impacts on children and young people
- Understand the policy context and prevalence of Neglect in Scotland
- Understand the forms of Neglect and how this impacts case management
- Describe the impact of Neglect and apply learning to case study examples
