UNCRC Train the Trainer / Champion
Description
This course is designed to allow for "Champions" or Trainers within services and for those ideally with influence over their teams & colleagues. i.e. team leaders, senior practitioners, leadership roles, to ensure continuity and development of train the trainer model.
These staff would then form a 'network' that could deliver training to other staff.
Learning Outcomes
During this course, participants will gain an understanding of:
- What Children's Rights are
- History of children's rights
- Difference between wants, needs and rights
- Role of the duty bearer
- UNCRC - specific articles and general principles
- Children's rights today
- Rights infringements
- Policy landscape in Scotland
- UNCRC incorporation into law

For those staff ideally situated and with influence over their teams & colleagues. i.e. team leaders, senior practitioners, leadership roles.

This is a full day face to face session.
