Each of the SDS Options has varying levels of responsibility for your budget. If you choose Option 1, a direct payment, you will have full responsibility for this. This can include employer responsibilities such as arranging your own support, safe recruitment checks,

However, there are people available to help you with this. Ayrshire Independent Living Network (AILN) are funded by the partnership to provide free support and advice.   They can help you put together a job advert to help you find the right person to help you, can help with recruitment checks, managing your budget and making sure you have the right insurances in place.
