This course will provide participants with an understanding of self neglect and hoarding disorder in practice and the links with trauma informed practice. Key topics explored will include professional curiosity, supported decision making and the role of executive function.

- Discuss the characteristics of those who self neglect and experience hoarding disorder and the possible causes behind these concerns.
- Recognise the role of professional curiosity and the complex links between self neglect, hoarding disorder and trauma.
- Understand the role of executive function in adult's decision making.
- Identify the links with associated legislation to protect adults from harm.
