Elementary Food Hygiene (REHIS)
Description
The REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene Course is a practical course designed to give individuals a basic knowledge and understanding of the causes of food poisoning, measures for prevention and the legal aspects of food hygiene in Scotland.
The REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene Course is suitable for any food handler working in restaurants, hotels, bars, nurseries, residential homes,day care and home care .
Learning Outcomes
During this course, participants will gain a good knowledge and understanding of the following areas and must successfully complete the exam which concludes the course:
- General Introduction to Food Hygiene
- Food Pests
- Bacteria
- Food Premises, Equipment and Utensils
- Food Poisoning and Its Prevention
- Cleaning and Disinfection
- Personal Hygiene
- Food Hygiene Law

All staff and services who need their REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate.

This is a full day face to face session.
